On day three of our Vietnam holiday, we escaped the busy city and drove through the Northern countryside to Tam Coc and Hoa Lu.
We had a relaxing sampan – traditional boat ride paddling through three caves and enjoying spectacular nature scenery.

Then we had lunch with traditional local food – goat meat, which, in my oppinion, tasted very similar to beef.

Later, we had a short drive through villages and rice fields to Vietnam’s ancient capital Hoa Lu where we visited Temples of the Dinh and Le Dynasties.

And finally, at the end of the day, we were back to our beautiful Apricot hotel.
